WE TAKE COMFORT & pride in learning about afrikan culture WHICH IS THE WORLDS CULTURE and spirituality how to balance our mind soul, body in holistic ways and be one with ourselves ,values, goals ,inner BEING and become one with our sexual self without feeling guilty , our programs serve as a anchor in a world that seems to be PURSUADED BY THE NEGATIVE STIGMA ABOUT SAME GENDER LOVING PEOPLES our goal is to overcome the stero-types BY EDUCATING OURSELVES AND OTHERS AND DEFINE WHO WE ARE AND REMOVE THE STSERO TYPES that has been attach to same gender loving men and women as sexual crazed, abuse,neurological imbalance predatory beings who are a product of european/westernized conditioning as a result of slavery or individuals who only focus is satisfying our lower needs who do no service towards the efforts and objectives of the liberation OF OPPRESS PEOPLES of the afrikan- american communities,we honor those who stand for social justice minus the hate teachings our members consist of everyday people from every walk of life from teachers,councelors,artisticholistic spiritual men & women who want to give back and make a difference in the world that we feel will help heal the social ills of our community and leave a path for other generation to follow & help guide towards their own goals & objectives and leave off where other pioneers left off making a difference

WHAT DOES THE TITLE DENDERAH MEAN?

IT was coin from the ancient eyptian temple in afrika which represent the astrological bodies of the heavens and position of the planets and stars which birth the science of astrology call solar biology associated with a feminine diety by the name of hat-hor she is the goddess of ''pleasure,love,sexuality'' and we model ourselves after a culture which represent male and fe-male as well as homosexual genderideals as we can see represented by the DIETY tut ankhenatun who had male features and feminine characteristics a hermorphadite product of nature ,our ancestors taught in the pyramid text that gender is a thing of the body mind a thing of the soul and although many of our afrikan -american spoke persons disagree with THE lifestyle of our community and that it has no place in kemet is soley base on their prejudices ,its doesn't prevent those of us who belong from aspiring back to oneness WITH THE CREATOR once the prejudices are removed we can see where our SAME GENDER LOVING PEOPLE fit in natures plan

WHAT DOES THIS FOUNDATION REPRESENT?

WE represent the nucleus for same gender loving men to gather and act as a catlyst or force for change,we are a bridge between those of us who wish to empower OURSELVES through culture,art,communication,spirituality,EMPOWERMENT LOVE FOR self & kind and mentor those that need support and show case their gifts for others to share and inspire our people to be free from social oppression of any kind that include those of our own community and blossom like a lotus full of color AS NATURE INTENDED and most importantly BRING AWARENESS TO THE FIGHT AGAINST AIDS AND HIV AND SET A NEW TREND IN OUR LIFESTYLE THAT WILL ALLOW US TO PERSERVE OUR VALUES AND LOVE FOR SELF

WHAT TYPE OF ACTIVITIES GO'S ON IN THE HOUSE ?

our goal is to help our youngmen& sisters appreciate the traditions of our culture & HSITORY through the rites of passage in which we prepare our sgl young men/women to become more equip to handle the challenges of being young black gay unique and develop a renewed sense of being
There are program for those between 17-21 and will require parental consent from one custodial parent / or legal gaurdian who will be assign mentors and assessments as needed
THE OLDER MEN of our foundation who ranges in ages from 21 to 35 serve as elders/teachers/babas(fathers/brothers sisters) in the lifestyle or gatekeepers of our way life who have experience as well as commendable role models and are able to guide our youth ,inspire, and support as well as share with them their experiences
our young men go through a initiation/rites of passage upon completion they are awarded A CERTIFICATE of completion AND ready to engage in their social calling & move towards goals with a new consiousness whatsoever that may be and serve as a pillar in our community and learnt in the ways of our ancestors and spirtually guided along the way
some of the programs in the rites to passage include the following

.knowing thyself (workshops)
.personal development (workshops)
.maintenance programs (workshops)
.cultivating your potential (workshops)
.building your temple(health courses)HIV AWARENESS PREVENTION
.life strategies (workshops)
.making your connection to personal ancestor ritual(u recieve a name)
.completion of program follow by drumming award ceremony(graduation)

GATEKEEPERS PROGRAM;(for those who complete workshops and are members)
WE meet every other week(fridays)
the elders /mentors/gatekeepers talk about issues of concern
we invite the sgl world to showcase their art,projects,literature,music and speak
we participate in spiritual RITUALS to foster a bond with nature and our inner self
we participate in events in our community as well as outreach(hiv awareness and homeless teens
we mentor our youth and make time for fun & games
we host parties & retreats
we support and offer a shoulder to cry on in time of lost (grievences)and positive support when pursuing a goal
we build programs that help those in need(housing referrals,medical,psychological health challenges)
while still growing ourselves and finding new ways to be a positive pillar for change

This is a section i drafted for information that comes through to our supporters when we see or hear of any news inwhich members of our community are in distress and need of our helping hand as we know there many issues that affect this community and we need to spread awareness and LEARN TO ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS AND CONCERN OURSLEVES AND NOT BE AFRAID to get involved raise issues that we would normally ignore OR OVERLOOK we sponsor all media that tells our stories and honors us in our accomplishment so when u hear the TALKING drum that means pay close attention and get involved we all we have at the end of the day unity overcomes all challenges
